
Raymond Mogensen (ATG Transport LLC): 1943 – 2025
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Ray Mogensen, a valued member of the Arizona Trucking Association. Ray was a dedicated professional whose contributions to the industry and our association were deeply appreciated. His presence, kindness, and commitment to trucking left a lasting impact on those who had the privilege of knowing him. Raymond Mogensen Obituary

Raymond Porter Mogensen passed away peacefully on January 28, 2025, in Mesa, Arizona. Raymond was the son of Harold and Marceline Mogensen, born July 7, 1943, in Fruita, Colorado. He graduated from Fruita High School in 1961 and attended Mesa College. He served in the Air Force during Vietnam.
After being honorably discharged, Raymond grew a passion for logistics and began working in the transportation industry. He started ATG Transport LLC (formerly Arizona Transportation Group) in the early 80’s in Mesa, Az. He was also passionate on the brokerage side of transportation and started Continental Western Logistics with Landstar. Ray would spend his entire career in the logistics field.
Ray was also a very experienced traveler where he and his wife Lina enjoyed yearly trips to different parts of the world.
Raymond is survived by his wife Lina of 45 years, sons Kraig Kessler (Stacey), Mark Kessler (Micki), four grandchildren, two great grandchildren, brother Loren Mogensen, sister Mary Kay Richardson (Mike), nephew Greg Richardson and niece Denise Green. A celebration of life will be at a later date.
