Specialized Carriers & Riggers Committee

Specialists in non-divisible, over-dimensional loads

Across the United States, more than 90% of all freight is on a truck for at least part of its journey. In Arizona that number jumps to almost 98% A small proportion of truck transportation involves specialized transportation or “over-dimensional” loads. But these are actually loads where size or weight fall outside traditional and accepted federal size and weight limits.

These loads are “non-divisible” meaning they cannot be split or divided so that they can be hauled on two or more truck combinations. And unlike traditional truck freight that moves seamlessly across local, county and state lines, each over-dimensional load requires some type of permit (state or local) to operate on the highway.
