ATA ANNOUNCES ‘4X4 OFF-ROAD FREEDOM RUN’ FOR APRIL 16, 2021

4×4, UTV, motorcycles, and other off-road vehicles welcome

The Arizona Trucking Association is proud to announce its First Annual 4×4 Off-Road Freedom Run (Freedom Run).

The Freedom Run will take place on Friday, April 16, 2021. ATA members and their friends are encouraged to participate in this inaugural run which will tackle the challenging Backway to Crown King. The Backway to Crown King is a 27.3-mile journey from Lake Pleasant to the old mining town of Crown King. Along the challenging trail, you’ll pass through obstacles, old mines, and great views, as you climb into the Prescott National Forest.

The Backway to Crown King trail is rated difficult and a non-stick 4×4 off-road vehicle is highly recommended. An alternative route (via Bumble Bee) to Crown King will be provided for those that want to participate but don’t have the appropriate vehicle.

The Backway to Crown King is an approximately 4.5 hours one way trip. Once participants arrive in Crown King, lunch will be provided at the Crown King Saloon & Café. After lunch, participants will be free to go and return on their own to the Phoenix area via backroads or I-17.
