In Arizona, trucking is everybody’s business!

From the early 20th century, trucks were the primary mode for hauling copper from Arizona mines to processing and manufacturing plants, raw cotton to gins and mills, cattle to railheads and local markets, and citrus to packing and distribution centers. Today’s modern trucking industry operates in every aspect of economic life, delivering textbooks, medical supplies, retail goods and the building blocks of highways and energy production for the state’s growing population.

The Arizona Trucking Association (ATA) is the leading voice of Arizona’s trucking industry, representing carriers, suppliers, and industry professionals committed to keeping the state’s economy moving safely and efficiently. Since 1937, ATA has advocated for a strong, responsible trucking industry and continues to serve as a trusted partner in shaping policy, advancing safety, and supporting business success across Arizona.

Guided by a safety-first mission, ATA provides members with critical resources including advocacy at the state and federal level, fleet services such as title and registration support, training programs, and industry education. Through councils like the Safety & Maintenance Council and other member forums, ATA brings industry leaders together to share best practices, address regulatory changes, and strengthen operational standards.

At its core, ATA exists to support its members, elevate industry standards, and ensure trucking remains essential, efficient, and safe for Arizona’s businesses and the communities they serve.
