Arizona Truck Driving Championships
The 2026 Arizona TDC is scheduled for March 28, 2026! The event will be held at Tempe Diablo Stadium.

Here are a few quick updates about the event:
- Competitors will be assigned to a group NOT BY CLASS. Each driver will receive a packet upon check-in that they are responsible for throughout the day. This packet includes rules, driver number and scoresheets.
- The cost is $160.00 per driver.
- The registration forms are linked below. Be sure to complete both pages of the application – forms TR-1 and TR-2. Don’t forget to include the manager’s signature, the driver’s signature, class of CDL, MVR and a copy of your CDL as required.
- All competitors must be employed by an Arizona Trucking Association member in a good standing.
We need your support to make the 52nd Annual Event a success! We are looking for partners who can contribute in the following ways:
Volunteer Support: Donate your team’s time to assist with event operations and help make the day run smoothly. – It is important that you arrive on time for your schedule spot.
Sponsorship/Raffle Prizes: Financial support at various levels helps fund the event and provides your company with valuable visibility. Donate prizes or swag items for our raffle to enhance the experience for all participants.
Pre-Order Hat and Pins: Hats and pins will be available by pre-order only and will not be sold at the event. All pre-orders must be submitted by February 6, 2026. Order form CLOSED.

On March 28, 2026, the Arizona Trucking Association held its annual Truck Driving Championship (TDC) at Tempe Diablo Stadium.
Over 142 drivers participated in this year’s event, many of whom have millions of miles of accident-free driving.
Participants were tested in three different areas:
- A written exam that tests drivers’ knowledge of the industry, first aid, health, wellness, injury prevention, fire safety, general safety, and security;
- A pre-trip inspection, which tests competitors on their knowledge of the equipment;
- A skills/driving test, which consists of six objectives that test their ability to maneuver the vehicle in simulations of everyday driving conditions.
Mr. Nathan Voss, UPS, was awarded “Grand Champion” of the annual safe driving competition. Additional high honors included:
- Best Skills/Driving Course Score: Luis Santa Cruz – Shamrock Foods Co.
- Best Pre-Trip Inspection: Victor Cruz – FedEx Freight
- David Messmer Rookie of the Year Award: Ivan Pina – Shamrock Foods Co.
Eight other TDC class winners will join Mr. Nathan Voss to represent Arizona at the National Truck Driving Championship in Pittsburgh, PA on August 11-14, 2026. Team Arizona will compete against 430 other professional drivers vying for selection as the nation’s top professional truck drivers.
