Illinois’ Stay At Home Executive Order

Illinois’ stay at home executive order

On Friday, March 20, Governor JB Pritzker issued a “Stay at Home” Executive Order for Illinois residents.  The order takes effect at 5PM on Saturday, March 21 and is effective through April 7.  Essential services will continue to be available however non-essential businesses will be required to close temporarily or work from home.

The trucking industry is expressly exempt from the ordinance, however trucking companies are required to comply with new Social Distancing Requirements.  ITA has prepared a Social Distancing Poster that companies can post in their businesses through April 7.

In addition, companies must provide hand sanitizer and sanitizing products, offer separate office hours for elderly and vulnerable customers, and post online whether a facility is open and how best to reach the facility by phone or remotely.
