Request For Input On Truck Bottlenecks In Arizona

Request for Input on Truck Bottlenecks in Arizona

The effort to update the Arizona State Freight Plan (SFP) continues with the latest call for stakeholder feedback. Beginning today, the following link is open to collect your input on truck bottlenecks around the state: LINK TO SURVEY

This interactive map displays:
●     Truck congestion bottlenecks based on 2024 National Performance Management Research Dataset (NPMRDS) and ADOT traffic data.
●      Truck restriction bottlenecks based on ADOT highway and bridge inventory. Using the interactive mapping tool, you can drop a pin to enter new bottlenecks or select an existing bottleneck to provide comments.

WAYS TO PROVIDE FEEDBACK:
●     Comment on an existing pin (bottleneck): Click on any existing pin to review information related to pre-identified bottlenecks and add your insights/ feedback.
●     Add a new bottleneck or pin: Drop a new pin to add details regarding the nature of the new bottleneck. For example, is the issue due to congestion or are truck restrictions impeding freight activity? Examples of truck restrictions include non-standard height or weight bridges, limited operating hours, or restrictions on hazardous cargo.

Please provide your feedback no later than April 22. Feel free to share this email or link with your organization’s broader membership or anyone who might wish to identify truck bottlenecks in Arizona. The resulting data will be used to inform the needs and priorities in the final State Freight Plan, scheduled for public review and completion this fall.
