ATA ANNOUNCES 5th ANNUAL ‘4X4 OFF-ROAD FREEDOM RUN’  FOR APRIL 18, 2025
4×4, UTV, motorcycles, and other off-road vehicles welcome

The Arizona Trucking Association is proud to announce its Fifth Annual 4×4 Off-Road Freedom Run (Freedom Run).

The Freedom Run will take place on Friday, April 18, 2025. ATA members and their friends are encouraged to participate in this exciting event which will tackle the challenging Backway to Crown King. The Backway to Crown King is a 27.3-mile journey from Lake Pleasant to the historic mining town of Crown King. On this adventurous trail, participants will encounter obstacles, historic mines, and stunning views as they ascend into the Prescott National Forest.

The Backway to Crown King trail is rated difficult and a sturdy 4×4 off-road vehicle is highly recommended. For those wishing to join but lacking the appropriate vehicle, an alternative route (via Bumble Bee) to Crown King will be available.

The journey along the Backway to Crown King is approximately a 4.5 hours trip one way. Upon arrival in Crown King, a lunch will be provided at the Crown King Saloon & Café. Following lunch, participants will have the freedom to return at their leisure to the Phoenix area, either via backroads or I-17.
