2025 Safety Awards
Awards nominations for the 2025 Fleet Safety Awards, Driver of the Year and Safety Professional of the Year will open in January 2026. The deadline to submit nominations is Tuesday, June 30, 2026.
These awards are administered through the Arizona Trucking Association Foundation (Foundation) and co-sponsored by the Arizona Department of Public Safety (DPS), PrePass Safety Alliance and Transtar Insurance Brokers, Inc.
The awards will be announced at our October 26, 2026 – Carrier Conference and Annual Meeting in Tucson, AZ

2024 Fleet Safety Results are in!
The 2024 Safety Award winners were recognized on September 29, 2025, at the Arizona Trucking Association’s Annual Meeting and Carrier Conference. Join us in congratulating your fellow ATA members!
2024 Fleet Safety Award Winners:
- 1 to 500,000 Miles Category: Precision Heavy Haul, Inc.
- 500,001 to 1 Million Miles Category: J & L Transportation, Inc.
- 1 to 3 Million Miles Category: Groendyke Transport, Inc.
- 3 to 7 Million Miles Category: JoyRide Logistics LLC.
- 7 Million Miles and Over Category: Old Dominion Freight Line, Inc.
In addition to the mileage category awards, J & L Transportation, Inc. was also honored with the Chairman’s Award for Safety and Community Service, recognizing their exceptional safety record and contributions to promoting highway safety across the state of Arizona.

Safety and Maintenance Council
The goal of the Safety and Maintenance Council (SMC) is to provide membership with the best possible resources to enhance current and future safety, maintenance processes and technologies, as well as to recognize members for safety achievements. The intent is to educate and support membership in order to improve the safety of employees as well as the general public.
